I wasn’t able to be with the children to supervise their filming last week during Puzzle and Play (as was working with a different school), so after a couple of training sessions, handed them some handycams and left them to it. Subsequently, the video material we are editing tends to, um, wander! The interviewers have done their best to ask “open questions” – not nearly as easy as you’d think!

Anyway, this is the start of a planned progression of media skills for these children. Their teacher, Linda Howlett, is keen that The Film Crew should pass on their new media skills to other children and intends to invest in a couple of handycam/tripod set-ups for future school video making.
