Who we are
Break 3 is an arts and education collective which has grown out of four years of close project working – listening, learning, experimenting, playing, evaluating – with schools and community groups in and around Frome, Somerset.
Alongside our own work as individual creative professionals – artists, producers, educators – we like to link up with like-minded people from all sorts of settings to devise new projects which are imaginative and playful, often out of doors, and that aim to make a demonstrable difference to the confidence and learning of participants.
We are professionals, and we are also parents, with a clear understanding of the pressures both inside and outside education, and maintain a passionate belief that art and creativity helps.
At a time when it is becoming increasingly challenging for many schools in particular to maintain the breadth of creative opportunities due to budget and curriculum constraints, we want to help.
We offer:
- A small friendly group of people that will listen, shape, bid and / or deliver a project with you
- Professional co-ordination and management skills
- Practical and effective monitoring / evaluation and budget management experience
- Tried and tested ‘off the shelf’ projects than can be adapted for your needs (or we can create something new for you)
- Access to our wider network of creative friends and allies: from architects to singers, gardeners to digital designers
Break 3 is an independent CIC with our core aim being to benefit: “Young people and their families, educators, artists, creative explorers and audiences of all ages in the wider world”.
