Saturday 21st September, 7pm. Procession route throughout Frome town centre. Free

In times gone by, Frome’s businesses all contributed entries to Frome Carnival, giving employees vehicles, space and time to build floats. The foundry, which still exists in Frome, is now Johnson Controls, which makes parts for fire sprinkler systems, and is this year resurrecting the tradition of a business-sponsored entry, providing funding and volunteers to work with Mel Day and Alison Vaas to create a paper and willow lantern replica of one of iconic sculptures produced at Singer’s foundry in Frome. Email projects@rooklanearts.org.uk if you’d like to get involved.
